How does it work ?

Our process is simple:

STEP 1

Complete Intake Form

Fill out the intake form on our website with your relevant information. Upon submission you will receive a confirmation email for your records.

STEP 2

Initial Contact and Case Evaluation

Expect a phone call from a representative or attorney for an initial interview. They will assess the details of your case to decide on its acceptance.

STEP 3

Case Accepted

If case is accepted documents requiring wet signatures will be mailed to you. Sign and return the documents as instructed as soon as possible.

STEP 4

Documentation Received

Once all required documents are received the filing and/or appeal process will commence. Any C & P appointments that are scheduled must be attended.

STEP 5

Decision

Wait for the disability decision from the VA. Ratings may arrive at different times for each claim. While we acknowledge the variability in timelines and outcomes for each case, our main goal is to efficiently and effectively complete the process and get you the maximum benefit.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is it possible for me to submit a claim on my own?

While it's possible to independently file a VA claim for government financial aid, it is recommended to seek help from individuals familiar with the system when filing VA disability claims. Rather than handling the claim creation and submission on your own, consider collaborating with a Veterans Service Officer (VSO) or utilizing an online service such as Veteran Resource Advocates.

What VA disabilities can I claim?

Here are common VA disability categories you can claim if they are connected to military service:

1. Physical Disability

2. Mental Health

3. Chronic Illnesses

4. Agent Orange-Related Disabilities

5. Gulf War Syndrome-Related Disabilities

6. Secondary Conditions Each claim is evaluated individually based on medical evidence, service records, and other relevant information.

Is it possible to submit a VA claim after 10 years has passed?

Absolutely! You have the option to submit a VA disability claim after a period of 10 years or more. This enables you to seek compensation for conditions that have developed gradually due to injuries sustained during your time in service. Although it is possible to pursue disability claims even after many years have passed, it is generally more straightforward to gain approval by promptly filing for VA dependent benefits.

Typically, how much time does it take for VA claims to be processed?

The approval process for VA claims typically lasts three to four months. Properly formatting your claim can expedite its processing. Yet, if your claim is intricate, involving multiple disabilities, it may require a slightly longer review period.

What can I do to expedite the processing of my VA claim?

To expedite your VA claim, streamline the process by utilizing a service such as ours when seeking VA disability benefits. This ensures that your claim adheres to all the guidelines set by the VA department, potentially resulting in a higher payout compared to filing independently.

Can I receive VA disability benefits for conditions that were not related to my military service?

Generally, VA disability benefits are only available for conditions that are connected to your military service. However, there are exceptions for certain presumptive conditions and secondary conditions.

Can my VA disability rating change over time?

Yes, VA disability ratings can be reevaluated and may change over time based on the severity of your condition and how it affects your ability to work. You can request a reevaluation if you believe your condition has worsened.

Can I work and still receive VA disability benefits?

Yes, you can work and still receive VA disability benefits, but the amount of your benefits may be affected by your income level and the severity of your disability. There are specific rules and thresholds regarding work and income that you should be aware of.

Can I receive VA disability benefits if I was dishonorably discharged from the military?

In most cases, veterans who receive a dishonorable discharge are not eligible for VA disability benefits. However, there are exceptions for certain circumstances, such as veterans who have been granted a discharge upgrade through the VA or Department of Defense.

What is a VA disability rating and how is it determined?

A VA disability rating is a percentage assigned by the VA to measure the severity of a service-connected disability. The rating is based on medical evidence, symptoms, and the impact of the disability on your daily life and ability to work.

Can I receive VA disability benefits if my disability occurred after I left the military?

Generally, VA disability benefits are only available for disabilities that are connected to military service. However, there are exceptions for certain conditions that are considered presumptive or secondary to a service-connected disability.
